Landscape architecture BÖE Studio, Structure Pirmin Jung.
The project offers a hybrid building consisting of a simple, prefabricated timber frame construction standing on a concrete table. Thanks to a semi-subterranean floor, the need for excavation is reduced and by pulling back the retaining wall along the site, the sealed surfaces of the access ramp are compensated. The basement is constructed on an efficient and use-neutral column grid that allows for future adjustments to the spatial program. The timber structure above forms regular porticos along the entire length of the building, which allow the south-east façade to be fully opened up. A system of vertical sliding windows provides natural light and ventilation in the hall.
