VASSOGNE COURTROOM
2025

Palais de l’Ile de la Cité, Paris, France

Project in collaboration with Vorbot.
Acoustic by Meta, Stonework by Artefacts.
The new Vassogne courtroom in the Palais de Justice de Paris offers a radical approach to the judicial space. Constructed entirely from travertine stone, which is part of the Palais de l'Ile de la Cité's historical heritage, the project takes advantage of the absence of natural light to offer a continuous luminous ceiling from which a technical landscape is suspended. Perforated to meet acoustic performance, the raw stone offers direct contact with a natural material in a timeless environment.
