VASSOGNE COURTROOM
2023

Palais de l’Île de la Cité, Paris, France

Project in collaboration with Vorbot.
The new courtroom Vassogne in the Court of Appeal of Paris offers a radical approach to the justice space. Entirely made of travertine stone, present in the historic heritage building of the Palais de Justice of Paris, it takes advantage of the missing natural light to propose a full lighting ceiling with realtime luminous and color dimming. Perforated to meet acoustic performances, the natural stone offers a direct contact to a natural matter in an environment out of time.
