PRIMARY SCHOOL IN ZUOZ
2024

 Zuoz, Switzerland

Project in collaboration with Raphael Kadid.
Visualisations Ethandeclerk, Structure Pirmin Jung.
Situated at an elevation of 1,750 meters in the Swiss Engadin Valley, the new elementary school and kindergarten in Zuoz seamlessly blend into the natural slope of the terrain, unified under a shared, elongated pitched roof that brings together the two school units. The project leverages the urban planning opportunity to establish a new pedestrian link between the two streets, offering a direct path that culminates in a playground with sweeping views of the village. The clear and compact layout ensures that the school meets all functional requirements while offering flexibility for future reconfigurations. This adaptability allows the building to evolve in response to the community’s changing needs, ensuring its relevance and longevity.
